Matt Allred Selected for Statewide Leadership Program
January 29, 2026
Matt Allred has been selected to participate in the Kansas Bankers Association’s 2026 Bank Leaders of Kansas (BLOK) program. Now in its 20th year, the BLOK program is a statewide leadership development program designed to build participants’ leadership skills and knowledge of the banking industry.
As one of 18 members of the 2026 BLOK class, Matt will begin a series of four training sessions in February. The first session will educate participants about volunteer opportunities within the KBA, as well as the structure and governance of the association, which represents the state’s banks in the areas of government relations, law, education, and insurance. The class will also gain insight into the state legislative process and how to develop meaningful relationships with state lawmakers.
In the remaining sessions, spread over the course of the year, Matt will hone his individual leadership skills; learn about the challenges and opportunities facing bankers and entrepreneurs in the state’s rural and urban areas, and visit Washington, D.C., to observe how Congress operates. In February 2027, Matt will graduate from the BLOK program, equipped with the skills and knowledge to take on leadership roles within the industry and BBOK.
Banking is in Matt’s blood. Growing up, his father owned the local savings and loan. With a love for money and numbers, and personal inspiration close at hand, Matt knew his career path early in life. He has over thirty years of experience in the industry, including serving in Management, Consumer Lending, Mortgage Lending, and Commercial Lending roles. He puts his experience, product knowledge, and customer service skills to use at Bankers’ Bank of Kansas where he thrives in addressing the unique loan participation and bank stock loan needs of each bank. Every client gets the white glove service, but those gloves come off when it comes to his passion outside of work – playing golf and watching hockey.
