On the Horizon

As BBOK practices social distancing by working in unconventional ways, we continue working on new initiatives to help you better serve your customers.

Bank Card Upgrades
Cardholder acquisition, increased usage and portfolio growth are the key drivers for Bank Card advancements coming soon. Testing is complete for a true online application that can be accessed via computer or mobile device. Links were recently distributed and all banks notified. New, automated underwriting processes are expected to shorten the time for card approval and get cards into the hands of customers more quickly. We will begin our phased approach for contactless plastics for tap-to-pay at the point of sale in May. New perks and marketing initiatives designed to engage your current cardholders are coming in Fall 2020.

Customer Survey
The biennial customer service survey is ready to launch! We are always eager to hear from our bank customers on how we are doing, but we know everyone is working hard to help customers with government relief programs and funds access. To increase participation, the survey will go out in June. Thank you in advance for your participation.

International Wires
Are you offering international wires to your customers? If not, your customers are going to your competitors and your bank is missing valuable opportunities to build relationships and earn fee income. If you are doing domestic wire business with BBOK or are on the ABIL system, you have the ability to send international wires with no additional agreements required. The BBOK electronic department has a combined 48+ years’ experience with international wires and assists our partners with everything from setup to compliance. Have you been considering offering international wires but don’t know where to start or speculate if it is a service your bank needs to offer? Be on the lookout for an international wire demonstration coming soon or contact Tracy Stewart at 800.999.5725 or tstewart@bbok.com to learn more about getting started today.
